HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PADDINGTON!
Or not yet really... Not until October 13th, but I just had to yell it out the moment I found out that the world's favourite bear's turning 50 this year.
Fifty years ago the eyes of the world, or at least of the UK, fell upon the adorable frame of Paddington Bear as Michael Bond's first book starring the lovable litte creature made its way into the bookstores. Over a period of 21 years Bond wrote twelve books about Paddington and his adventures with or without the Brown family of 32 Windsor Gardens. The thirteenth book in the Paddinton series is soon going in the press. In "Paddington today" we will join Paddington as he enters today's world and getting into trouble as usual. A movie with the little bear is also in the making.
